Not only my godmother but the best godmother ever!! Am so happy you're reading and enjoying the blog, Shirley. Yes, the flavor really is so classic. I have some other New England friends who are black raspberry ice cream die-hards. I never thought I'd get a chance to make it, so I'm getting a kick out of it. Lots of love to you, Susie

Susie- this has always been my favorite ice cream and I have always ordered a dish or a cone particularly at Sundae School, the best ice cream place on Cape Cod- in East Orleans and Harwich. While I don't have an ice-cream maker here I shall keep your recipe in case I run into someone who does have one- Love you and your blog- your God-mother,SAM (my grandmother name)
