But these days, I am obsessed with berry boxes. You know, those little blue cardboard farmstand classics. They come in half-pint, pint, and quart sizes. (We order them <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pjpmarketplace.com\/Pactiv-1-Berry-Basket-Green-Pint-Container-p\/183006.htm?utm_source=Current+Mail+List+8%2F09%2F2013&amp;utm_campaign=11d10cc0de-Fall_Awesome_Deals10_1_2013&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_5c9289a831-11d10cc0de-95734705\">online<\/a> by the case, but our customers are also really great about bringing them back to us.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_7374.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6151\" alt=\"DSC_7374\" src=\"http:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_7374.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_7374.jpg 600w, https:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_7374-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pretty much everything about the little boxes appeals to me: The bracing aqua blue color (until they fade to a calm, pleasing celadon); the square shape, the smart design. And their functionality, of course. They contain things after all. And I\u2019m all about containment. And arranging stuff. It\u2019s always going to be something freshly picked, freshly plucked, freshly dug. So when we first retrieve the boxes from storage, I get all giddy with anticipation. Here we go!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_8458.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6146\" alt=\"DSC_8458\" src=\"http:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_8458.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_8458.jpg 600w, https:\/\/sixburnersue.com\/cooking-fresh-eating-green\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/DSC_8458-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of course then I can\u2019t stop photographing the little blue boxes\u2014with just about everything in them. We keep a stack in the processing shed, so we use them to carry orphan veggies into the house, or to pick a quick few berries for breakfast.
