  2. Wow! You are SO talented! Happy New Year! I hope it brings you guys all great things, You deserve it and for thanks for being the most awesome mom – Libby adores you! xoxox

  3. Thanks Scott!

And Kelly–I am forever grateful to you for sharing Libby with me! And a very happy new year to you, too!

  4. Susie, Even though I have just known you a year and a half and only thought your blog I want to tell you the pleasure I receive each time I open my mail and there you are.
I lived in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for many years and had the most WONDERFUL flower and veggie garden and the best friend that worked it with me. I miss it very much especially in the Spring,Summer and Fall. The Winter is made better by all the different things I put up.
We are in Ft Worth,Texas now and in a really great retirement, life care place called The Stayton. ( check out their web site ) No garden but I have both of your books and blog and I share them with our chef and enjoy what he prepairs and I still cook.
Keep living that wonderful life and enjoy your family. You are teaching our next generation and that is so very important.
May you have a very Happy New Year and many blessings. Sharon

  5. Sharon–what a lovely note, and so glad to hear you are enjoying the blog and books! Your retirement place looks fabulous–very stimulating, which is great. Keeping active (brain-wise as well as body-wise!) is so important. I know I am truly blessed to be living this life right now, and we never know what the future holds, so I’m trying to make the most of it. Take care and a very Happy New Year to you, too!

  6. Beautiful Pictures. What a year! Keep growing in in 2013. By the way, made your vegetable soup last night. Delicious.

  7. Thank you Nancy! Well, as you know, with a regular blog (and especially with finished food shots) you kind of have to get into this. But I really enjoy it, and now that we’re on the farm, there are endless opportunities for fun shots all year long!

  8. Hi Susie,

I just bought a copy of your book today which lead me to your web site. Your photographs are beautiful and the book is inspiring. Cannot wait to try some of your recipes. Thanks!

    Barbara
